Never uploadedSizes follow common mainland-China photo standards. The passport and Hong Kong/Macau permit option follows the 33×48 mm travel-document photo standard; other uses are general examples. Always follow the requirements of the issuing authority.
The dashed lines mark the head and chin guides. Keep the face inside the safe area; drag the photo or use the arrow keys to fine-tune.
Limits: a pure front end has no AI cutout. Background replacement uses a colour key with edge feathering, so hair and semi-transparent edges are imperfect. Shoot against a plain background for complex subjects.
About this tool
Choosing a spec gives you its physical and pixel size: 25×35 mm (295×413 px) for 1-inch, 35×49 mm (413×579 px) for 2-inch, all at 300 DPI. Drag and zoom to align the portrait; exported files carry 300 DPI metadata so the printed size is accurate.
Background replacement uses a colour key with edge feathering: the corners are sampled to estimate the background colour, then pixels close to it are replaced with white, blue, red or a custom colour. A pure front end has no AI cutout, so hair and semi-transparent edges may show a fringe. Shooting against a plain background works best.
How to use it
- Pick a spec and colourChoose 1-inch, 2-inch and other common sizes (300 DPI by default), then select white, blue, red or a custom background.
- Align the portraitDrag the photo, zoom with the slider or nudge with the arrow keys. Browsers with FaceDetector can use “Auto align”.
- Export and lay outDownload a single JPEG/PNG, or build a 5-inch or 6-inch print sheet with crop marks.
Common questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Decoding, background replacement, cropping and export all run locally in the browser; the page never sends image content.
Why do hair edges look imperfect after background replacement?
A pure front end uses a colour key and feathering, not AI segmentation. Hair, translucent clothing and gradient backgrounds tend to leave traces. Plain backgrounds give the best result.
Will the printed size be accurate?
The file carries 300 DPI metadata, so printing at “actual size” gives the stated millimetres. If your print app forces scaling, turn off “fit to page”.
